Two 12mm Gevelot pinfire cartridges and one by Houllier-Blanchard probably dropped on the last day of fighting during the Battle of Cane Hill which took place here on Cove Creek Road when Confederates ambushed a charging Union cavalry.
This was about a week before the bigger battle at Prairie Grove, AR
