Description
This is an excavated 12mm pinfire cartridge case that has had its bullet disintegrate after 160 years in the ground. Both the Union and Confederate armies used 12mm pinfire revolvers and cartridges during the American Civil War.
This recently listed collection of excavated cartridges came from a digger who primarily dug in Virginia. He did not record exact cities or locations of where he dug his cartridges.
