A complete and exceptionally well-preserved box of 12mm “à longue portée” (long-range) pinfire cartridges, manufactured by the renowned Parisian firm Houllier-Blanchard, arquebusier breveté. The green patterned paper wrap and intact label present beautifully, and the original twine is still in place. Cartridges of this exact type have been excavated from American Civil War sites, highlighting their period transatlantic distribution and historical significance.
