Pinfire Cartridges
The pinfire cartridge is one of the earliest forms of ammunition and was the bridge between muzzle-loading guns and the modern firearms we have today.
Casimir Lefaucheux invented the system in the 1830s and many patents and improvements around the world by various inventors propelled it to be one of the most popular firearms systems in the 19th century and adopted my nearly every major military in the world at some capacity.
This is a work in progress but feel free to learn from the years of research I have put in to understanding the pinfire system and sharing my collection and information with the world.
